THE PROCESS

Taking inspiration from daily influences such as nature and human experiences to art history, travel and ancient cultures, Micaela Dietrich Jewellery is always evolving and inherently unique.

With an expansive art practice encompassing ceramic works, silver smithing sculpture and painting, I employ an authentic design process; from initial research, manipulating and experimenting with materials through to final sketches.

With a great respect for the art of silver smithing Micaela Dietrich Jewellery is crafted combining both modern and ancient methodology such as sheet forming, soldering and lost wax casting to create quality works that will last a lifetime.

With an earth conscious approach, each piece is handmade and finished exercising sustainable practices. Only materials of the highest of quality are utilised to produce the works, using all recycled raw materials where possible and taking great care to reuse scrap metal in future works.

I believe craftsmanship cannot be rushed and patience must be employed to achieve excellence. Each work of art is crafted with care and attention to detail, to result in pieces of treasure, that will hold their value and span a lifetime.
